Káinn: fæddur til að fækka tárum

Káinn (Kristján Níels Júlíus Jónsson (1859 – 1936)), was born and raised in Akureyri in the north of Iceland, but moved west to Winnipeg at the age of nineteen. It was there that he cultivated his talents in making rhymes, mostly comical ones and definitely mastered the form. Many of his rhymes still live a good life in the Icelandic language.
