Þórdís Elva Þorvaldsdóttir was raped by her then boyfriend, Tom Stranger, when she was sixteen years old. She never accused him of it and did her best to forget it until many years later she decided to send him a letter wanting to talk about it. His reply blew her away, sincere and honest apology.
