The political career of Stein, the main character in this novel by Haukur Már Helgason, is over after a scandalous event. After that he is offered a position with a newly established Information agency that is supposed to lead the development of an official fact database, a thinking machine that will prove to be a valuable tool in the government's fight against the information chaos.

This is a thought provoking satire about the various variations of silence, about surrendering against atrocities, settlement that never takes place and the patience of the forces that wait and anticipate the era of peace and democracy will soon be over.
