This book by Einar Már Guðmundsson starts with the words of Danish author Poul Borum who said "no one knows what a novel is ...". So it begins its narration on the border of fiction and memories. 

The main character is called Haraldur who moves with his girlfriend to Copenhagen in the fall of 1979 to become an author. Once there he quickly finds himself in the midst of all kinds of interesting people, artists and authors and all kinds of schools and movements. And music. A lot of new music.
